Puerto de Alisas is an enjoyable climb, without being spectacular for most of the ascent. The highlight is the series of hairpin bends in the final 3km, where the scenery opens up and offers some fine views into the distance. Near to the top of the climb is an impressive sounding Monument to Cycling. Unfortunately this is no longer in very good condition and is something of a disappointment. Alisas is usually open throughout the year and is a great choice for a long ride when combined with other climbs in the area.
