Derailleur is built by cycling enthusiasts, for cycling enthusiasts — riders who train regularly, travel to ride, and are always looking for new cycling and race experiences.
Planning a cycling trip should be simple. Instead, it often means jumping between Google, AI search, forums and scattered websites, with no easy way to compare options or understand what really suits your level, interests and budget.
So we started building the platform we could not find ourselves.
Derailleur is still evolving and not everything is perfect yet. We are improving it continuously, and we would genuinely like to hear from riders and providers who want to help us make it better.

This is not primarily about casual sightseeing by bike. It is for people for whom cycling is an important part of their lives.
Derailleur started after years of frustration.
We are Søren and Per, two Danish cycling enthusiasts who have travelled with our bikes for years and found that planning these trips never really became much easier. Great tours, operators, regions and races were still difficult to find, compare and evaluate — even with more online content and, more recently, AI search.
So we decided to combine our experience building businesses and digital platforms with our enthusiasm for cycling, and started building Derailleur alongside our other work. It has allowed us to take our time, keep improving it and focus on making it genuinely useful.
As the idea grew, a small team formed around it. Not everyone on the team is quite as cycling-obsessed as Søren and Per — yet — but everyone has helped turn the idea into a real platform.
Pierre, our data scientist, has helped tackle the significant challenge of finding, structuring and organising thousands of cycling tours from hundreds of specialist providers.
Alin and Ionut, our developers, have helped turn that data and product vision into the platform itself — building and improving the systems, search experience and tools behind Derailleur.
Ricky and Raymond help research, organise and improve the growing amount of information behind the platform, as well as support the work of bringing more cycling providers and services onto Derailleur.
Together, we are slowly building the platform we wanted to use ourselves.
