About Derailleur

Derailleur is built for cycling enthusiasts — riders who train regularly, travel to ride, and looking for new training and race experiences.

Planning a cycling trip should be simple. Instead, it means jumping between Google, AI search, forums, and scattered websites — with no simple way to compare options or know what truly fits your level. So we built the platform we couldn’t find. Not everything is perfect, but we are working hard to make it better every day, but do get in touch if you want to help.

What We Do

Derailleur is a discovery platform for cycling travel. We bring together training camps, tours, and cycling experiences into one place — structured, comparable, and designed around how cyclists actually plan.

Our goal is simple:

  • Help riders find the right trip
  • Help providers connect with the right riders
  • Make more experience this (niche) part of the travel market

Who It’s For

We focus on the cycling enthusiast:

  • Riders who train consistently
  • Travelling with friends or seeking like-minded groups
  • Looking for challenge, performance, and memorable rides

This is not casual cycling — it’s a passionate, high-commitment audience.

Our Story

Derailleur started after years of frustration. We’re Søren and Per — two Danish cyclists who have travelled with our bikes for years, and found that it never really got easier. Trips were still hard to find, compare, and trust — even with more content and now AI search.

So we decided to use our experience building businesses and digital platforms, and started building Derailleur alongside other projects.

As the idea grew, we brought in a small group of colleagues — including our data scientist Pierre — to help tackle the challenge of finding, structuring, and organising 5,000+ cycling tours.

Slowly building the solution we needed ourselves.
