The Ötztal Cycle Marathon is one of the toughest and most legendary one-day cycling events in Europe. Every year, around 4,000 racing cyclists take on the challenge of conquering four Alpine passes in one day: Kühtai, Brenner Pass, Jaufen Pass and Timmelsjoch. With around 227 kilometres and around 5,500 metres in altitude, the marathon demands everything - both physically and mentally. Steep ramps, long climbs, changing weather conditions and the altitude make the race a real borderline experience.
