Overview

Imagine cycling along quiet, easy-going paths following the banks of the glistening blue Danube and arriving at family-run hotels in beautiful surroundings. Follow one of Europe's best-loved cycling routes along the Danube Cycle Path from Germany's colourful Bavarian city of Passau to Austria's musical city of Vienna, with an everchanging river landscape. Historically one of the most important and oldest trade routes, the regions combine a lot of different cultures and traditions. Cycling the Danube is like a culinary journey and you're guaranteed to dine on fresh local produce each day, washed down with an excellent glass of wine from one of the winemaking villages from the Wachau region, where fruit orchards and vineyards grow side by side.
