Tour between the sparkling freshwater lakes of southern Bavaria, cycling along valley floors with a backdrop of the forested slopes and snow-dusted peaks of the Bavarian Alps. You’ll ride mostly on well-connected cycle paths with some short sections on country roads - the cycling is mostly undemanding with a few gentle inclines. As you pedal through green forests, marshlands and alpine foothills, you’ll pass lakeside market towns and traditional Bavarian villages. After following the River Isar through quiet valleys and green gorges, the view from Germany’s highest mountain makes a magnificent halfway highlight.
