Overview

It is a perfect bike tour for cyclists on their first trip to Portugal. It has a bit of everything: the traditional sleepy Alentejo and the vibrant Atlantic beaches in the Algarve. Alentejo (Central Portugal) is dubbed the New Tuscany because of its dreamy scenery and world-class vineyards. This picturesque and charming place is where you fall in love with the whitewashed villages, medieval castles, sunbathed plains, lifestyle, and secular traditions. Discover the millennial history, culture, and traditions with some of the world’s best wines. The Algarve is known for its blue skies and Atlantic shores; our Bike Across Portugal route traces the Atlantic coast to the land’s end at Cabo de Săo Vicente. Along the way, we pedal past ever-changing ocean views: tiny fishing villages, colorful harbors, towering sea cliffs, and golden dunes – not to mention some of the most beautiful beaches in Europe.
