Cycle the land of the Samurai; temples, geishas and incredible Tokyo and Kyoto. Explore the rugged seascapes and wild beach of Japan’s Noto Peninsula by bike. Enjoy the picturesque farmlands and the remoteness of Takayama and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Shirakawa-go. You’ll get a close feel for the timeless rhythms and customs of Japanese rural life. Over nine days of cycling, you’ll average 60 kilometres each day. This adventure offers cycling as your mode of adventuring. You’ll begin in Tokyo with some sightseeing and orientation. You’ll end up in Kyoto with more time for relaxing and sightseeing. If this is your first time to Japan you’ll appreciate the combination of the history and serenity of Kyoto with the modern and extraordinary Tokyo.
