Spend a week cycling the Burgundy Wine Route, starting in Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, and heading south on a sumptuous trail of vineyards and wineries all the way to Tournus. This is a laid-back cycling tour, with plenty of stops at famous vineyards and wineries en route, including Côte de Nuits, the Voie Verte through the Côte de Chalonnaise wine region and the spectacular Château de Savigny-les-Beaune. Staying at charming local hotels en route, the last stretch clings to the River Sâone all the way to the medieval town of Tournus. This tour is also accessible by rail, so you can bring a few bottles home with you if you are able to visit France without flying.
