The Hadrians Cycleway tour done over three days averages at 40 miles a day. The route takes in a variety of different scenery during the 3 days. We leave Silloth on pleasant country roads for the first ten miles or so and then enjoy lovely, scenic cycling by the gorse strewn beaches of the Solway Coast before arriving in Brampton for our first night's accommodation. On Day 2, we are treated to ancient Priorys, Hadrian’s Wall turrets and old Roman Forts. Excellent cycle-ways take us up close and personal to many of the ruins and interesting archaeological finds of this fascinating landscape. We spend our second night in the Northumberland small towns of either Corbridge or Chollerford. Day 3 is easy final ride taking us from Corbridge or Chollerford into Newcastle and on through South Shields to our finish point at the North Sea at Tynemouth. If you are taking the train the best station is Wigton, which is closest to Silloth and we will pick you up there.
