One of the most committing rides in the programme. 677 km at altitude, roads above 5000 m and nearly two weeks of accumulation make this an extreme trip for highly prepared riders only. This Rouleur Edition weaves big Himalayan riding with rich Tibetan culture, from ancient monasteries and prayer wheels to remote valleys and the spiritual pull of Everest itself. Over nearly two weeks you’ll tackle a series of epic passes and long descents, riding above 5000 metres and alongside glaciers, rivers and vast high plateaux. The journey builds towards the legendary approach to Everest Base Camp, following quieter back roads through timeless villages and past fluttering prayer flags before that final push to 5200 metres. Best for very experienced endurance riders who understand altitude, pacing and recovery. Not for riders whose main goal is comfort, culinary experience or relaxed sightseeing.
