This gentle discovery of unspoiled Mallorca offers richly varied landscapes and sweeping views. Enjoy self-guided cycling along quiet lanes and through pretty villages while your luggage is transported to your next delightful place to stay, complete with a pool. Quiet lanes wind their way through the patchwork patterns of ancient farms, linking agricultural villages that reveal Mallorca's genuine face. This is a side of the island that few tourists experience, and cycling here is a true delight, especially when combined with our hand-picked accommodation, including two enchanting agroturismos - intimate country estates offering comfortable rooms, outdoor pools and delicious home-cooked food. According to the season, expect to enjoy the freshest of vegetables and fruit produced on this abundant isle. This highly praised route leads you from the Migjorn, the unspoiled coastal plain of sand dunes and salt flats, up into the very heart of the island through the rolling inland plain known as Es Pla, a landscape of tiny farms, ancient windmills, and pretty villages with bustling markets that has remained unchanged for centuries. Each day there is ample opportunity to stop and linger over a coffee and delicious pastry while you cycle from one village to the next. On your final days, you enjoy magnificent views of the peaks of the Tramuntana Sierra as you reach the heart of the island. Your holiday begins with an easy warm-up ride that winds along quiet lanes between the fascinating inland lagoons and salt flats just behind the coast, which are home to many birds. Your target, reached after a section through pine woods, is the island's longest natural beach, Es Trenc, a great swimming spot with white sand framed by sand dunes. From here, you can choose to extend your ride and visit the small port of Colònia de Sant Jordi, before returning to Campos. You start by cycling north to the market town of Campos, renowned for its windmills, before skirting the hill topped by the Sanctuary of Mont-Sion. Take the optional, challenging ascent to the summit for sweeping views over the rolling plain, before continuing to Porreres. You then follow quiet lanes across large estates dominated by orchards to reach Can Feliu just north of the town. Head out on a delightful circuit through timeless agricultural countryside to reach Felanitx, another traditional town, famed for its capers or 'green pearls' which you can buy at the Sunday morning market. Enjoy a relaxing lunch in the colourful central square, before a gentle ride back to your hotel. You pedal through the gently rolling countryside of the island's centre, with wonderful views of the rugged peaks of the Tramuntana Sierra opening up as you ride. On your way, visit the charming village of Montuiri, surrounded by old stone windmills used for grinding flour in days gone by. On the last leg you ride through almond groves to reach Can Joan Capó, where you stay for two nights. Follow our delightful circular route along idyllic country lanes lined with dry-stone walls and a profusion of wildflowers, passing through villages with houses of golden stone and green painted shutters. Alternatively, for a leisurely day, you could stroll around the town in the morning (Sineu is one of the oldest settlements on Mallorca and the site of a beautiful Gothic church and a renowned farmers' market every Wednesday) and spend the afternoon by the pool. Two agroturismos (working farms); one 4-star hotel. Dedicated hosts warmly welcome guests to their converted farmhouse, which features comfortable, modest rooms. Set in well-kept gardens with a swimming pool and shaded terraces, the farmhouse offers tranquil relaxation. Breakfasts and evening meals are crafted using fresh produce from the estate and are available al fresco in good weather. Set among fields and vineyards, this stylish farmhouse features lush gardens, quiet corners and a pool. The large, elegantly furnished rooms offer a combination of tradition and modern comfort. Enjoy homegrown produce paired with the estate's own wine, all enjoyed in the spacious dining room or on the inviting terrace. This small hotel, run with care, offers an oasis of calm. Each room features unique designs that reflect the owner's passion for the area. Guests can enjoy breakfast in the cosy courtyard, along with access to a pool, lounge, and massage room. For dinner, choose the intimate candlelit dining room or sample nearby restaurants. Our chosen bike rental shop will provide you with a city trekking bike with 21 gears (grip shift system); a waterproof map case on handlebars; panniers/saddlebags; pump; puncture repair kit; and a lock. Electric bikes are available as an upgrade (see price panel), subject to availability, and must be requested at the time of booking. The bike shop also has a limited number of tandems. Helmets are a legal requirement on public roads in Spain, and as such are included free of charge with your bike. Yes, we will provide [GPX tracks](</information/gps-route-navigation>) for this holiday prior to departure so that you can follow your route on your smartphone or dedicated GPS device if you wish. (We also provide our tried-and-tested [route notes](</information/sample-documentation>)). We'll send you route notes 2-3 weeks before your holiday. The [route notes](</information/sample-documentation>) not only contain directions to get from hotel to hotel, but also include practical information about places of interest and eateries along each route, plus cultural information about the area. On mornings when you are moving between hotels, you leave your luggage in reception as you leave, and it will be transferred ahead to your next accommodation so that all you need to take with you are a camera, sun cream, drinks, food and waterproofs. You are responsible for damage to or loss of the rental bike while it is hired to you. Always be careful to lock it up, ideally to an immovable object, and remove all easy-to-steal accessories whenever you leave it unattended. We can book a wide range of routes from the UK with a variety of airlines. As well as being more convenient for you to book all elements of your holiday together, it also means that we'll accept liability for your travel arrangements, so if things go wrong, such as the airline going bust, we'll make suitable alternative arrangements for you. The fee for this service is £35 per person (£15 for children aged 2-11). Absolutely! We are experts in tailored rail travel. Making use of sleeper trains or stopovers in cities along the route, we can get you from London to virtually anywhere in mainland Europe. We can even make arrangements to Mallorca, Sicily and Norway with a combination of ferries and rail. We can't book flights that originate outside the UK, but if you wanted to book your own flights to London (or elsewhere in the UK), we can make all onward travel arrangements (including flights) from there. Alternatively, if you are booking your own flights to an airport in continental Europe that's appropriate for your holiday, we can book onward rail travel and/or taxis. Since our holidays are self-guided, we recommend calling us for a chat about your plans before making a booking, especially if it's the first time you've booked with us. The price panel shows the supplement for a single room and also the single traveller charge (this covers (luggage) transfers and other costs which are usually shared between two people). Once you've decided on your exact itinerary (our travel experts will be happy to offer advice), you need to provide us with your party's details, either by phone or via our booking form. At this point we also ask you to pay a deposit so that we can secure a room for you immediately on confirming availability with the hotel(s). If it turns out that we can't secure the accommodation for the holiday you've requested, or offer an acceptable alternative, we'll refund your deposit promptly and in full. After booking your accommodation and other key elements, we'll then book your travel (or you can do so if you're making your own arrangements) and send you a Booking Confirmation and Invoice. Yes, it's something we insist on, even for holidays in the UK. The vast majority of holidays go smoothly, but when things go wrong, it can be expensive to put them right. Buying a new pair of walking boots after your suitcase is stolen mightn't seem so bad, but the bill for being airlifted down from a mountain with a broken leg or flown home while still recovering from an illness or accident can incur a five or six-figure bill. Many insurers offer travel insurance (you can find details on our [insurance page](</information/holiday-insurance>) of a policy that you may like to consider if you are a UK resident), but you do need to make sure that you're covered for medical emergencies - including falling ill with Covid-19 while on holiday - and repatriation. We also recommend that you are covered for other eventualities, such as cancellation and loss of luggage and passports. When you purchase a policy, be sure to check that it covers the activities you'll be doing on holiday and that it is adequate for your own individual needs. It is your responsibility to ensure you are in possession of the[correct travel documents, with the correct validity](</information/visa-information>). If you're a UK citizen, you need a full British passport to travel to Spain, but not a visa (please note, however, that a [new travel authorisation system](</information/visa-information>) is being introduced). If you are a citizen of another country, you'll need to check requirements with the national embassy or your own consulate. Current information regarding vaccinations and travel health advice for UK citizens can be found through the [Travel Health Pro](<https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries>) website. You **must** make sure you have adequate insurance cover for illness, accidents and repatriation (see the insurance question). You should also apply for a [Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC)](<https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/healthcare-abroad/apply-for-a-free-uk-global-health-insurance-card-ghic/>) if your EHIC has expired (if you have a still-valid EHIC, you can use this until it expires).
