Terrain & Riding Structure

Primary climbing days: Extended switchback climbs, narrow roads, technical descents

Cycling Bases

Port de Pollença

Northern coastal town with direct access to Sa Calobra and Tramuntana climbs. Flat roads available for warm-up and recovery. Largest camp ecosystem on the island.

Alcúdia

Northern coastal town with flat coastal roads and access to Cap de Formentor. Positioned adjacent to Port d'Alcúdia with the same terrain access. Good for mixed ability groups.

Best for: Endurance/socialView Map

Port d'Alcúdia

Northern bay resort with flat coastal riding and the northern plain direct. Tramuntana access within 30–45 min ride. Largest camp accommodation ecosystem alongside Port de Pollença.

Pollença

Inland town in the northern foothills immediately below the Tramuntana. Quieter and less resort in character than the port towns. Direct access to the Ma-10 climbing roads.

Port de Sóller

Coastal port of Sóller with immediate access to Sa Calobra and the Tramuntana core. Limited flat recovery terrain but maximum climbing access. Suits climbing-focused camps.

Andratx

Southwest base with access to quiet steep climbs: Cap Andritxol, Coll des Grau, and Col de Sa Gramola. Consistently low traffic throughout the year. Shorter PMI transfer than northern bases.

Sant Elm

Small coastal village at the southwestern tip of the island. Access to the same southwest climb network as Andratx. Very limited infrastructure — suited to self-sufficient small groups.

Palma

Island capital with excellent infrastructure and airport access. Balanced access to mountains, plains, and coast via short transfer. Urban environment with road distance to Tramuntana core.
