Visit vineyards for wine tastings, and stay in boutique inns. Cycle paved bike paths and quiet country roads as you explore the Niagara Falls region on two wheels, showcasing the spectacular Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Nestled between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario, this diverse region is rich in history, vineyard landscapes, waterfront trails, and charming small towns. Along the way, enjoy opportunities to visit local wineries, sample regional flavours, and discover some of Ontario's most celebrated wine country. Spend time in picturesque villages and the elegant town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, known for its vibrant arts scene, boutique shops, and renowned Shaw Festival theatre. Cycle beside the historic Welland Canal, where enormous ships navigate a remarkable system of locks connecting the Great Lakes, and experience a unique blend of natural wonders, culture, and hospitality. Day 1: Arrival Day: Grand Island & Horseshoe Falls. Cycle along a stretch of scenic bike path on the U.S. side of the Niagara River, view Horseshoe Falls, cycle briefly through downtown Niagara Falls, then ride more bike path with river views before transiting across the border to lodging in Jordan Station. Enjoy dinner with the group. Day 2: Jordan Wineries. Cycle a circuit starting and ending in Jordan, passing through a wooded area, a preserved 19th-century hamlet, and into the Niagara area's vineyards. Enjoy a tasting at an old winery with included lunch. More country roads with wineries on the way back to Jordan. Day 3: Welland Canal Bike Path. Transit to the southern end of the dedicated bike path along the Welland Canal, a marvel of waterway engineering linking Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Finish at the north end of the Canal with a shuttle or ride directly to the hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake. This town is rich in history and a popular summer getaway with boutique shopping and a theater festival. Lodging for 3 nights at Queen's Landing. Dinner with the group. Day 4: Niagara Wineries & Theater. Cycle through the heart of Niagara wine country with long rural views over mostly flat terrain. Visit Queenston Mile Vineyard and other wineries/breweries. Your route winds back to Niagara-on-the-Lake. Includes a ticket for a Shaw Festival performance. Dinner on your own. Day 5: Niagara Falls Out-and-Back. Cycle on virtually all bike path up the Niagara River, passing over the Niagara River Dam, to enjoy water and cliff views on the way to the Canadian city of Niagara Falls. See spectacular views from different vantage points. Return cycle route passes more wineries. Final celebratory dinner with the group. Day 6: Departure Day: Niagara River. Shuttle to the Floral Showhouse Botanical Garden, then cycle along the southern section of the Niagara River toward the Peace Bridge.
