You will cycle through beautiful and varied landscapes – from Dutch lowland ‘polders’ with Friesian cows to ancient fenland – and visit historic towns with medieval houses, windmills and an impressive castle. The towns around the old Zuiderzee, now the IJsselmeer lake, all have their own unique culture, evident in their architecture, costumes, dialects and delicacies. Cycle to Edam, Enkhuizen, Lemmer, Kampen and Harderwijk where the local culture is staunchly protected.
