The tour starts and ends in Salzburg, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The tour is designed for active recreation, experiencing nature, and enjoying attractions like Schafberg mountain and Orth castle. It covers meadows, moorland, towering rock faces, and the old imperial town of Bad Ischl. The tour character is Level 3, with completely flat terrain along lake banks and mainly hilly terrain between lakes. Most of the tour is on cycle paths and roads with little traffic, with only a few short sections on busier roads. Accommodation is in charming 4* hotels, with breakfast included. Luggage transfer and digital travel documents including a navigation app and GPS data are provided. Included are one boat ride on Lake Attersee (for July & August arrivals) and one Zaunerstollen with coffee at the famous Cafe Zauner. Optional extras include rental bikes (sporty bike or E-bike), printed route books, and travel insurance. Extra nights in Salzburg are also available. The tour has specific departure dates and includes a welcome briefing and bike fitting on Day 1. Departure is on Day 8, with options for extension.
