Overview

The North-South Route connects two of the most beautiful cities of Switzerland, starting in Basel and crossing the Jura mountains to Lucerne, then through central Switzerland and up towards Gotthard pass. The route continues past the castles of Bellinzona and to Monte Ceneri with a marvellous view over Lago Maggiore, ending on quiet roads to Lago di Lugano. Challenging in the beginning in the hills of Jura and smooth during the ride through the Mittelland and past Lake Lucerne. Uphill from Amsteg towards the pass and downhill over the cobblestones of Tremola road. Departure by public transport from Lugano. Suitcases will be returned to the partner hotel by 5:00 p.m. at the latest. Car rental in Switzerland available with a brand new Renault vehicle - minimum 21 days. Swiss Rail Pass recommended for exploring Switzerland by train, including scenic services.
