Cote de Nuits on one side and Cote de Beaune on the other one, you will pedal next to the Clos Vougeot and cross over the Chambolle Musigny, Gevrey-Chambertin and Vosne Romanee vineyards. The undisputed capital of Burgundy, Beaune is also one of France's prettiest towns, by its numerous testimonies in art and history: its hospital, crowned with a roof of glazed tiles, is known throughout the world, and its wine museum is a must! Follow the picturesque ‘Voie Verte’ (cycling path) which goes through of the pretty « Côte de Beaune » and the great vineyards such as Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet or Pommard. You will have the opportunity also to admire the Château de la Rochepot : a magnificent 13th and 15th century fortress with roofs made of glazed tiles before reaching the nice village of Nolay. Go back to Beaune at the end of the day. Excursion to ‘Cote de Nuits’ | 58 km (+ optional loop 12 km). Excursion devoted to discover the famous area 'Cote de Nuits' well known for the 'Grands Vins de Bourgogne' and more especially the red wines: Chambolle Musigny, Vosne Romanée and the most expensive wine of Burgundy: Romanee Conti. You will also appreciate some famous sights such as the Château du Clos Vougeot or the château of Gevrey Chambertin. Excursion to Bouilland | 43 km. Leave the vineyards to find the green forests and ride along the graceful river ‘Rhoin’ until the ruins of the Sainte Marguerite abbey. Then come back to Beaune through the ‘Hautes-Côtes-de-Beaune’ vineyards. Departure during the day or possibility to extend your stay.
