Discover the beautiful scenery and fabulous gastronomy of the Costa Brava by bike on this luxury tour. Each day of biking in this region offers a medley of dramatic vistas, sparkling coastlines and rolling plains. Spin through charming medieval villages, stop to visit an artisanal pottery workshop in La Bisbal, visit exclusive boutique wineries and sample some of the best cuisine the area has to offer. At the the confluence of Spanish and French culinary traditions, the Costa Brava is home to some of the most renowned cuisine in the world. The Empordà and the Costa Brava boast a deeply rooted mar i muntanya (sea and mountain) culinary tradition, where seafood like gambes de Palamós, anchovies from L’Escala, and suquet de peix meet inland specialties such as duck with figs, butifarra with beans, and arroz de Pals. The region celebrates seasonal, local produce—from calçots and tomatoes to wild mushrooms—and is also known for artisanal cheeses, olive oil from the Empordà plains, and traditional sweets like crema catalana. With its own Protected Designation of Origin status, the Empordà is the heart of Catalan wine culture. The windswept terrain produces expressive Garnatxa and Carinyena wines that range from elegant reds and aromatic whites to the region’s signature Garnatxa de l’Empordà sweet wine. A new wave of artisanal wineries blends centuries-old tradition with innovation, crafting fresh rosés, experimental natural wines, and bottles that capture the Tramuntana’s mineral, Mediterranean character.
