This bike tour combines two of the best routes in the Canadian Rockies: The Golden Triangle and the Icefields Parkway from Lake Louise to Jasper. The Golden Triangle route passes through Banff, Kootenay, and Yoho National Parks. The guided cycling tour extends the typical three-day Golden Triangle to allow for hiking and exploration, and includes Jasper on the itinerary. The 8-day guided tour visits Kicking Horse Pass, the Columbia River Valley, Golden, Lake Louise, Radium, Banff, and continues to the Icefields and Jasper National Park. The tour emphasizes incredible mountain scenery. The tour is guided and private, suitable for fit cyclists due to its 'Hard (4/5)' difficulty rating, involving approximately 80 kilometers per day with significant climbs. Accommodations are in 3 and 4-star hotels and mountain lodges, some rustic but with fantastic mountain locations. Transportation to and from Calgary airport is included, along with an English-speaking guide and support van. The itinerary includes a transfer to Banff, cycling through Kootenay National Park with stops at Johnston Canyon and Marble Canyon, climbing Sinclair Pass and visiting Radium Hot Springs, cycling along the Columbia River to Golden, climbing Kicking Horse Pass to Lake Louise, riding up Bow Summit with views of Peyto Lake, cycling up Sunwapta Pass with an optional hike on Parker Ridge, visiting the Icefields Center, and finally a leisurely ride to Jasper with stops at Athabasca Falls and exploring Jasper before returning to Calgary.
