Overview

Cycle from Nha Trang to Hue on a 9-day bike tour. This tour excels at delivering sweet seaside relaxation, introducing riders to the fishing villages and other harborside towns of Vietnam’s Central Coast. The tour will take you to Nha Trang, Quy Nhon, Hoi An, Hue, and countless small villages in between. Riders will get to experience the unique culture and cuisine of the area while breathing the salty-sweet ocean air. The tour also offers off-road cycling along hilly terrain, with rocky cliffs, rolling mountain ranges, and fertile valleys supporting rice paddies. This juxtaposition of relaxed oceanside cruising with intense offroading makes this an excellent tour for advanced riders. The tour starts with a flight from Saigon to Nha Trang, followed by a scenic 30 km ride through the countryside. Day 2 involves cycling along the Hon Gom Peninsula, past shrimp farms and rice paddies, to Phu Yen. Day 3 is a 65 km coastal ride to Quy Nhon. Day 4 includes an 80 km ride with views of coastlines and local countryside, observing shrimp and salt farms, followed by a transfer to Quang Ngai. Day 5 visits the My Lai Massacre site, then cycles along quiet village roads past rice paddies and fishing villages, with a transfer to Hoi An. Day 6 is a rest day in Hoi An. Day 7 involves a ride along the coast to Da Nang, then climbing the Hai Van Pass, followed by a descent and a 44 km ride to Hue. Day 8 is a Hue City Ride, exploring landmarks like the Thien Mu Pagoda and the Mausoleum of Emperor Gia Long, with a farm-to-table lunch. Day 9 is departure from Hue. The tour is customizable and run as a private tour for your group. Prices depend on group size, room types, trip customizations, and date of travel. A hybrid bike rental is included, with an option to upgrade to an e-bike. Accommodations are in 3-star hotels or homestays, providing modern necessities or a stay with a local family. Rooms are double occupancy, with an option for single occupancy upgrades at an extra charge. Solo travellers may also need to pay a supplement. The difficulty is rated as Hard (4/5), requiring a good level of fitness and prior cycling experience. The total cycling distance is 415 kilometers over 7 days, with daily distances ranging from 60 to 100 kilometers. The terrain varies from coastal roads to hilly and mountainous terrain, including the challenging Hai Van Pass climb.
