Overview

South Tyrol sits at Italy's northern edge and plays by different rules: 3 languages, 4 mountain passes in a single day, and Giro d'Italia climbs open to anyone with the legs to try them. Over 7 days, we'll cycle through high alpine meadows and pine forests, past jewel-coloured lakes and jagged rock towers, from the wine-draped hills around Bolzano all the way to the historic market town of Bressanone. The Sellaronda, Passo Pordoi, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, and Alpe di Siusi are all on the menu, with 4-star hotels, South Tyrolean dinners, and luggage handled the whole way. 7 days | Moderate | 5.00. From $6,011 ( USD ). 2026 is sold out — book 2027, or find a last minute deal. South Tyrol has one of the most underrated food scenes in Italy, and the dinners on this trip make a strong case for it. Think hearty mountain cooking done with real finesse: canederli in broth, speck from the valley, aged cheeses, and glasses of Lagrein or Gewurztraminer that taste exactly like where you are. The Wine Route ride adds tastings along the way, and breakfasts are included throughout to set up every riding day properly. The riding covers up to 72.4 km (45 mi) per day, with up to 2,213 m (7,258 ft) of elevation gain on the most demanding stage. The Sellaronda day crosses four mountain passes, so prior experience on a road bike and comfort in the saddle for 4 to 5 hours is a plus. The starting point of your South Tyrol cycling holiday is Bolzano. To get there, most people fly into Bolzano Airport (BZO), Innsbruck Airport (INN), or Verona Airport (VRN). From there, you can take a shuttle service, public transport, or rent a car to reach Bolzano. You will meet your guide in Bolzano on Day 1. We handle the logistics; local guides lead the way. Our team has been all over the world skiing, hiking, biking, climbing, and sailing. And when it comes to finding the sickest trails or just having the most fun, nothing beats hanging with passionate local guides. Our travels have taken us to meet some of the most amazing guides around the globe. This inspired us to create 57hours, a platform that lets you focus on the adventure with best guides while we take care of the nitty-gritty details.
