Overview

This unique itinerary features two of Europe's most bicycle-friendly cities, Copenhagen and Malmö. You'll follow the gently undulating landscapes of Nordsjælland (North Zealand), biking along the picturesque coastal Danish Riviera, home to gorgeous harbor villages. On the Swedish side of the strait, from the coastal gem of Helsingborg, your cycling features the Skåne County (Scania) coastline. As you sail, you island hop! The tiny island of Ven, rising above the sea like a plateau, offers breathtaking views of steep limestone cliffs, charming farmhouses, and the historic observatory of the renowned astronomer Tycho Brahe from the 17th century. The Danish island of Møn, the southernmost point of your adventure, is known for its dramatic white limestone cliffs, adorned with fossil treasures. Situated in a sparsely populated area, Møn offers the perfect setting for stargazing, as its remote location allows for exceptionally clear night skies. The daily program includes a welcome drink and briefing on Day 1 in Copenhagen, followed by cycling to Helsingør on Day 2, exploring the Danish Riviera and sailing to Helsingborg on Day 3. Day 4 involves cycling to Landskrona and a ferry to Ven for a round tour. Day 5 is a sailing day from Ven to Køge or Rødvig. Day 6 offers cycling from Rødvig to Stevns Klint and Køge, with a scenic dinner sailing trip to Malmö. Day 7 is a city and outskirts round tour of Malmö or a longer tour to Lund and Lomma. Day 8 concludes with breakfast and disembarkation in Malmö. The bikes available include a standard touring bicycle with an aluminum step-through frame, Shimano Nexus gearing, and Schwalbe Marathon anti-puncture tires. An electric bicycle (Granville E-Bike or similar) is available upon request with an additional charge, featuring a Bosch mid-drive motor and 7-speed internal hub gears. Accessories like pannier bags and helmet rental are included. Bicycle rental is included in the tour price, with an option to bring your own bike at a discount. Included services consist of 7 nights aboard the Atlantis or Antigua, 7 breakfasts, 6 packed lunches, and 7 three-course dinners. A standard touring bike, coffee and tea on board until 4 pm, a welcome drink, twice a week cabin cleaning, daily tour briefings, fully guided cycling tours, a roadbook, waterproof pannier bag, biodegradable water bottle, GPS tracks, carbon offset payment, and Wi-Fi in the salon are also provided. The bike rides on this trip may not be long, but they present some elevation changes. Be prepared for a few challenging short stretches and navigating semi-paved gravel paths over short distances.
