This exclusive e-bike and hike adventure takes you through the stunning landscapes of Chile’s Lake District and Chiloé Island. You'll ride scenic routes along lakes, forests, and volcanoes, hike through national parks, and visit highlights such as the Petrohué Waterfalls, coastal penguin colonies, and the northern gateway to the Route of the Parks of Patagonia. Throughout the journey, you'll enjoy meals hosted in private homes, on working farms, and in welcoming chef-led kitchens, showcasing the ingredients and traditions of southern Chile, from fresh Pacific seafood to classic curanto prepared over hot stones. The result is a fantastic itinerary that balances active days with traditional local food and culture. You’ll stay in comfortable, well-located small hotels and lodges. Each property offers private bathrooms and the essential comforts needed after active days outdoors. The atmosphere is relaxed and reflective of the region, offering a pleasant place to relax in the evenings. Please note - single occupancy is typically not available at Pumalín Park due to the limited number of cabin-style accommodations. Cabins feature multiple beds but are assigned on a shared basis. This is a moderately active e-bike and hiking experience designed for travelers with a good general level of fitness. Daily cycling distances range from approximately 15 to 50 miles (25–80 km), with some rolling terrain and moderate elevation gain. The use of e-bikes makes longer distances accessible and allows riders to adjust effort as needed. Hikes are generally moderate, following well-maintained trails in national parks and coastal areas. International arrivals and departures are most convenient via Santiago International Airport (SCL). From Santiago, a domestic flight connects to Puerto Montt (PMC), the main airport serving Chile’s Lake District. Return flights to Santiago are from either Castro (MHC) on Chiloé Island or Puerto Montt (PMC). Upon arrival in Puerto Montt, a private transfer is arranged to your hotel in Puerto Varas (approximately 30 minutes). At the conclusion of the journey in Chiloé, a private transfer is provided to either Castro or Puerto Montt airport for onward domestic flights. From October through April, the Lake District and Chiloé Island enjoy mild to warm temperatures (55–75°F / 13–24°C) and long daylight hours. Weather can shift throughout the day, with a mix of sun and occasional rain, especially in rainforest areas, so layered clothing and light waterproof gear are recommended. Please note, for the flight to Pumalín National Park (days 2–4), luggage is limited to a maximum of 33 lbs (15 kg) per person.
