Located about 1,000 km off the coast, it is considered one of the world's foremost destinations for wildlife viewing. From wandering around picturesque Puerto Villamil on Isabela Island and visiting a local coffee farm on San Cristobal. Communing with marine iguanas and sea lions, and exploring the islands will keep you busy every step along the way. Get ready for an adventure. See dates and itinerary. 7-Day Cycling Tour: Day 1: Fly to San Cristobal, Bike to La Loberia, Visit Interpretation Center, 9 mi. (15 km). Day 2: Bike to Puerto Chino, Visit a Coffee Farm and El Junco, 16-25 mi. (25-40 km). Day 3: Snorkel at Kicker Rock, Free time in town. Day 4: Fly to Isabela, Walk and Snorkel Tintoreras, Bike to Wall of Tears, Visit Tortoise Breeding Center, 9 mi. (14 km). Day 5: Sierra Negra Volcano Hike, Downhill Biking from Highlands, 13-19 mi. (20-30 km). Day 6: Boat to Santa Cruz, Highlands Bike Tour to Lava Tunnel, 16 mi. (25 km). Day 7: Final Day, Head Home or Arrange Day Tours in Quito. 10-Day Adventure Tour: Day 1 (Friday): Arrive in Quito, Welcome Briefing and Dinner. Day 2 (Saturday): Fly to San Cristobal, Downhill Bike Ride, Visit La Loberia. Day 3 (Sunday): Snorkel at Kicker Rock, Visit Interpretation Center. Day 4 (Monday): Visit Floreana Island, Snorkel, Visit Highlands. Day 5 (Tuesday): Boat to Isabela, Kayak in Bay, Walk and Snorkel Tintoreras. Day 6 (Wednesday): Hike Sierra Negra Volcano, Visit Volcan Chico Lava Fields. Day 7 (Thursday): Free Morning (Optional Snorkel Trip to Los Tuneles $), Visit Giant Tortoise Breeding Center. Day 8 (Friday): Boat to Santa Cruz, Visit Tortoises in Highlands, Charles Darwin Research Station, Optional Tortuga Bay Visit. Day 9 (Saturday): Free Morning, Depart for Quito, Farewell Dinner. Skill Level — Moderate–Difficult: This tour is rated moderate to difficult (depending on the type of tour, biking or multi-adventure) and is designed for the experienced cyclist and the adventure-seeking at heart. Road conditions play an important role at the time of cycling as well! This Galapagos bike tour has a mix of more challenging cross-island mountain bike rides and leisurely downhill rides. A support vehicle is available for you to take a break from pedaling and experienced guides are always nearby to encourage and assist. The multi-adventure is very flexible and suitable for anyone, with varying skills of biking, snorkeling, kayaking, etc. Climate: Due to the confluence of cold water currents from the west and the south, the Galapagos archipelago has an uncharacteristically dry and moderate climate for the tropics and is generally classified as sub-tropical. This makes Galapagos travel a year-round vacation option. Galapagos weather is considered equatorial, cooled by the Humboldt Current, and is characterized by two main seasons: warm, wet season (late December to June) and the cool, dry season (late June to December).
