Overview

Explore the fields, forests and historic farmhouses of the Empordà on our Costa Brava gravel bike tour. Enjoy some of the best gravel cycling in Spain! The route takes you from the mountains of Girona to the rugged cliffs of the Costa Brava. Pedal off the beaten track, and discover the hidden wonders of the Empordà. Cycle through ancient vineyards and olive groves, and discover historic castles, farmhouseses and churches hidden away in the midst of nature. The route also takes you to the windswept Cap de Creus, the eastern-most point of the Iberian Peninsula and a protected national park. The itinerary begins and ends in the magnificent city of Girona, famous for its colourful riverside houses and soaring Gothic cathedral. The Empordà and the Costa Brava boast a deeply rooted mar i muntanya (sea and mountain) culinary tradition. With its own Protected Designation of Origin status, the Empordà is the heart of Catalan wine culture.
