Overview

A cycle tour for leisure cyclists that could hardly be more multifaceted! From mountainous Tyrol to the Adriatic, where the sea breeze blows around your nose. In addition to cultural highlights, culinary delights await, starting in Tyrol with hearty dishes and culminating in the lagoon city with pasta and wine. The tour includes visits to cities like Innsbruck, Bolzano, Trento, Verona, and Venice. Beautifully designed bike paths await you in the Eisack and Adige river valleys. From Verona onward, you'll mainly cycle on low-traffic side roads. After the transfer to the Brenner Pass, the route descends a total of 1,300 meters (about 4,265 feet), with only a few short climbs near Lake Caldaro and just before Verona. The only challenging section is the Monte Berici hill near Vicenza (about 400 meters / 1,312 feet of elevation). This is a cycling tour suitable for all levels! 9 nights accommodation in 3***- and 4****-hotels, in Ala/Rivalta in a charming 2** hotel. Includes breakfast, welcome briefing, luggage transfer, digital travel documents incl. navigation app, GPS-data, route book. Also includes 1 transfer Innsbruck - Brennero incl. your bike and service hotline. Arrival by train to Innsbruck or Munich airport. Parking available in public hotel garages (approx. EUR 10 to EUR 20 per day). Departure by train from Venice to Innsbruck (approx. 5 hours with 1 change in Brennero). Extra nights available in Innsbruck (From 99 EUR p.p) and Venice/Mainland (From 89 EUR p.p). Gravel bike and Rental bike PLUS options available. Rental bike (119 EUR) or E-bike (319 EUR) available upon request. Day 1: Arrival in Innsbruck. Enjoy a relaxed walk through the old town, featuring the Town Tower and the Golden Roof. Visit the Bergisel ski jump or Hafelekar for panoramic views. Savor a traditional Tyrolean Gröstl. Information briefing and bike handover. Day 2: Innsbruck – Bressanone approx. 50km + transfer. Transfer to Brenner Pass by train or minibus. Cycle along the Eisack River, passing through Gossensass, Sterzing, Thumberg, Reifenstein Castle, Stilfes, Mittewald, Franzensfeste fortress, Vahrner Lake, Vahrn, and arriving in Bressanone. Day 3: Bressanone – Bolzano approx. 40km. Cycle along the Isarco River, passing Chiusa and Waidbruck with Trostburg Castle. Enter the basin of Bolzano. Visit Waltherplatz, arcades, and the Archaeological Museum to see Ötzi. Day 4: Bolzano – Trento approx. 70km. Follow the Eisack River until you reach the Adige. Cycle through orchards to Salorno, then through vineyards to Trento. Day 5: Trento – Ala/Rivalta approx. 45-60km. The Adige Valley narrows with rugged mountain cliffs and castles. Pass Rovereto and Ala before arriving in Rivalta. Day 6: Ala/Rivalta – Verona approx. 50-65km. Cycle along the Adige River to Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet. Enjoy Italian delights like pizza, pasta, and gelato. Day 7: Verona - Vicenza approx. 70km. Starts with flat terrain before meandering through the gently rolling hills of the Monti Berici. Option to take the train from Verona to San Bonifacio to shorten the stage. Explore Vicenza's historic center with Palladian architecture. Day 8: Vicenza - Abano Terme/Padua approx. 45-55km. Pass Venetian villas including Villa Rotonda. Follow the Bacchiglione River to Abano Terme, a spa town. Padua is easily accessible by bus. Day 9: Abano Terme - Venice/Mestre approx. 40-50km. Cycle towards the sea through meadows and fields. The stage ends on the mainland before Venice, with excellent bus connections to the lagoon city. Day 10: Departure or extension.
