This self-guided cycling tour in Emilia-Romagna starts and ends in Ferrara, following trails through Ferrara Province and the Po Delta. It is, by its very nature, slow and sustainable, with guests cycling between 38-63km per day. The tour offers e-bikes, making sustainable tourism more accessible. The itinerary starts and finishes in Ferrara, which is reachable by rail, and encourages guests to travel to and around Italy using buses and trains whenever possible. Accommodation on this tour includes a mix of small hotels, agriturismos, family-owned B&Bs; and locally-run inns, carefully selected for their location, warm hospitality, good local food, and connection to the area. Guests are encouraged to buy lunches and snacks in local shops, and dine in restaurants or at their accommodation. The itinerary includes places such as Ferrara, Ostellato, Comacchio and Argenta, helping tourism spend reach local businesses, hosts and families along the route.
