Blois round tour, 8-day Self-guided Cycling Tour along the "Loire a Velo" or the "Pays des Chateaux" cycle paths, allowing exploration of prestigious chateaux of the Loire Valley including Chambord, Chenonceaux, Cheverny, Amboise, and Blois. The itinerary guides through captivating landscapes: between the wild Loire, its surrounding forests, vineyards, and picturesque villages, offering a moment of escape. Level 3 tour: Moderate, with a little bit hilly stages or stages between 40 km and 50 km. Blois – Amboise (40 km): cycling tracks through villages to the château of Chaumont-sur-Loire, then to Amboise with its royal château and Leonardo Da Vinci connection. Day 2: Excursion to Vouvray (48 km): explore picturesque Vouvray vineyards, troglodyte houses, and wine producers. Visit Renaissance châteaux like château de Valmer and château de Jallanges. Day 3: Amboise – Chenonceaux (42 km): travel through Montlouis-sur-Loire vineyards to the Cher valley and the famous château de Chenonceau, known for the rivalry of Diane de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici. Day 4: Chenonceaux – Cheverny (or Chitenay) (40 / 55 km): cycle along the Cher river to Montrichard, then through vineyards to Château de Fougères-sur-Bièvre. End in Chitenay or Cheverny. Day 5: Excursion to Beauregard and Sologne area (47 km): visit Château of Beauregard and explore the Sologne region with its forests, ponds, and châteaux. Day 6: Cheverny (or Chitenay) – Blois (40 / 50 km): discover the Château of Cheverny and the Château of Chambord, a masterpiece of French Renaissance. Day 7: Departure. Car rental in France available for driving before or after the tour. Travel Insurance for France recommended.
