The tour features stunning views over the ocean, the Laurissilva Forest (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Porto Moniz natural swimming pools, Santana’s traditional Madeiran houses, and Funchal, a 500-year-old city & birthplace of Cristiano Ronaldo. The tour also highlights the island's gastronomy, fresh fish, and local products. This bike tour in Madeira is rated as difficult, with hilly terrain and some very steep hills. Average daily distances are approximately 20-30 miles. The entire route is 100% asphalt. Riders should be comfortable riding on low-trafficked roads and through narrow tunnels. Elevation charts are available upon request. You will stay in very nice 3- and 4-star hotels. Electric bikes (E-Ghost Hybrid Bike) are provided and included in the tour package. The tour includes accommodations for 7 nights, breakfasts, arrival and departure transfers (to/from Funchal Airport), a welcome briefing and personal bike fitting, an electric bike with helmet, handlebar bag, and rear rack with pannier, luggage transfers, transfers as mentioned in the itinerary, a navigation app, and a local support number in case of emergencies.
