Starting from Seeham on Lake Obertrum (Obertrumser See), you'll explore a new excursion each day. Enjoy swimming breaks at lakes like Irrsee, Mondsee, and Mattsee, and look forward to visits to the Michelbeuern Abbey and Gut Aiderbichl animal sanctuary. In Hallein, follow the history of salt mining, and in Oberndorf, discover the birthplace of the world-famous Christmas carol "Silent Night." The picturesque village on Lake Obertrum will be your home base for the duration of the tour. Take your time to explore your accommodation and enjoy a leisurely stroll along the lake. From the high ropes course to the Porsche Experience Center, there’s plenty to see and do nearby. You’ll also receive personalized tour information and have the opportunity to adjust your rental bike. Day 2: The Monastery Village of Michaelbeuern and the Alpine Foothills of Salzburg approx. 45 km. You’ll follow charming, well-kept paths to Michaelbeuern Abbey, where you can savor the famous Augustinerbräu beer in the abbey’s cellar, shaded by ancient chestnut trees. On your return, cycle through vibrant meadows nestled in the peaceful Alpine foothills before arriving back at your cozy accommodation by Lake Obertrum. Day 3: Lake Wallersee tour approx. 45 km. On this stage, you’ll cycle from Lake Obertrum to Lake Wallersee. Starting in Seekirchen (Seeburg), you’ll follow the Wallersee bike path all the way to the renowned Gut Aiderbichl animal sanctuary. The sanctuary offers a safe haven for many animals. From there, you’ll continue cycling at the foot of the Tannberg mountain to Schleedorf, then down to Lake Mattsee before returning to your hotel. Day 4: Lake Mondsee approx. 45 km + transfer. Today, you will cycle via the Egelseen lakes and through the Tiefsteinklamm gorge to Lake Wallersee. After passing the so-called Finsterloch you will have time for a lunch break with a hearty snack. Afterwards, you will continue your tour to Lake Irrsee and Lake Mondsee and to the town of the same name – Mondsee – with its old castle and historic church. At the end of your day, you will be taken back to your hotel. Day 5: Salzburg – Oberndorf approx. 45 km + transfer. Your day begins with a short transfer to Salzburg. From there, you’ll cycle leisurely along the Salzach River path to Oberndorf, the birthplace of the world-famous Christmas carol “Silent Night.” You’ll then return to the Trumer Lakes, either crossing the Haunsberg or taking a slightly longer route around it. Day 6: Hallein – Salzburg approx. 50 km + train journey. Take the train to Hallein, an ancient Celtic town where a visit to the Celtic Museum or the salt mine is highly recommended. Following the Salzach River and passing Schloss Hellbrunn with its famous trick fountains (Wasserspielen), you’ll arrive in the festival city of Salzburg. The breathtaking views from Hohensalzburg Fortress stretch across the city and surrounding countryside. Afterwards, take a leisurely stroll through the charming old town before returning to Seeham along the scenic Fischach and Mattig rivers. Day 7: Departure or extension.
