Overview

This tour of Northern Vietnam’s legendary Ha Giang loop is truly the pinnacle of what the country’s cycling scene has to offer. This area is the most beautiful part of Vietnam, but it is also the most rugged and extreme – which is why the tour is perfect for advanced cyclists! September and October are the best months to tour the Ha Giang loop, as the weather is perfect for cycling and the terraced rice paddies lining the route are at their greenest and ripest. You may even see local farmers harvesting fresh rice as you pass by. Enjoy riding a path that will keep you off the main highways, spare you the tourist traps, and let you get the most out of the rustic landscape. The tour is rated as Very Hard (5/5) and is recommended for advanced cyclists with experience due to high physical demands, rugged trails, and significant elevation gains. The tour is always run as a private tour for your group only and can be customized. Prices depend on group size, room types, trip customizations, and date of travel. A hybrid bike rental is included in the price, with an option to upgrade to an e-bike. The tour includes 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, and 7 dinners, along with water, snacks, soft drinks, and fresh fruit on biking days. Accommodations for 7 nights are included, typically in 3-star hotels or homestays. Transportation includes an air-conditioned van for transfers and support, and a support vehicle for gear and luggage. Services of cycling guides and mechanics are provided, along with entrance fees, boat trips, and all biking gear (mountain bike, helmet, tool kit, water cage). Free flow cold beer is also included at the end of the tour.
