Overview

This is a cycling camp designed for riders who look for top-notch facilities and local cycling coaches in one of Spain's best cycling areas: La Costa Daurada in Catalonia, Spain. Tina from Lifesparkz Bike Tours will be present as the tour organizer and local contact point. The camp offers guided rides into beautiful mountains, exploring climbs, forests, rolling hills full of wine, and charming villages in the Priorat wine districts. Groups are limited to a maximum of 10 people per guide, with a service car following along. Routes and distances are adjustable to participants' levels, with the possibility of setting a high bar for top-level riders with a local coach training elite and professional cyclists. Accommodation is at the Mediterranean Sports Hub in Cambrils, a sports resort with modern apartments (shared 2-3 rooms with private bathrooms). A rest day offers optional sightseeing trips, such as to Tarragona, wine yards, or swim-with-tuna trips. Other options include using the SPA, gym, or relaxing on the nearby sandy beach. The trip is designed for an open group and can be customized for private groups with different preferences for dates, number of people, nights, or cycling days. Custom trips can also be arranged with a local contact point instead of Tina from Lifesparkz being present. The package includes 6 nights accommodation, full board, 4 days guided cycling, 1 free spa entrance, airport transfers from Barcelona Airport (within given timeslots), 5 days bike rental (carbon, 105 Di2, disc brakes), a half-day trip to Tarragona, and fruit/snacks/water during rides. Arrival day includes check-in to the apartment at the Mediterranean Sports Hub and a welcome meeting to introduce the program and facilities. Depending on arrival time, there's an opportunity to walk to the beach or explore Cambrils town. Two days of cycling are guided by local guide Jofre, a former professional cyclist and current coach for elite and professional cyclists, who grew up in the region and knows the Catalan cycling routes by heart. He shares local stories and guides through the Priorat wine region, rolling hills, climbs, and villages. The rest day offers optional non-cycling activities such as a half-day trip to Tarragona (a vibrant town with a Rambla, Roman amphitheatre, and Catalan vibe), visits to wine cellars, or a swim-with-tuna trip. Alternatively, guests can enjoy the SPA, gym, paddle challenge, or relax on the beach. Self-guided cycling along the coast is also an option. The second half of the week involves two more guided cycling days to explore new areas of the Costa Daurada. The guide tailors the routes to the participants' levels and pace, potentially including parts of the Vuelta d'Espana route or combining hidden climbs. The rides are described as challenging, beautiful, and fun. Departure day includes check-out after breakfast, a final gathering, and airport transfer based on departure time. For late departures, there are options to enjoy the beach, or visit nearby towns like Cambrils or Salou. The location is Cambrils, Tarragona, Spain, specifically at the Mediterranean Sports Hub. The organizer is Lifesparkz Bike Tours ApS, focusing on nurturing people's health and understanding of coastal regions in Mediterranean countries through bike tours, connecting cyclists with nature and cultural landscapes. They offer tailored adventures for various bike types (road, touring, e-bike, gravel) and travel styles (group or private, with or without local guides), always ensuring quality accommodation and local services.
