Overview

7 days & 7 nights with breakfast, 24-hour support, phone holder, helmet, lock, app with maps, GPS tracks & stage descriptions, hybrid bike with pannier (E-bike available for a supplement), and insurance. This trip can be tailor made throughout the year to suit your requirements. We can cater for vegetarian and vegan diets. 3 accommodations use renewable energy, either through on-site production (solar, etc.) or through green energy tariffs. As the pioneers of responsible tourism, we've screened this (and every) holiday so that you can travel knowing we've worked to maximise the benefits of your holiday to local people and places, and minimise any negative impacts. Use of renewable energy by accommodations. We work with accommodations committed to environmental practices. Several of them use renewable energy sources (green electricity or solar panels), particularly in hotels and guesthouses located in rural areas. Human-powered transport. The trip is entirely based on cycling, a human-powered mode of transport with a very low carbon footprint. Participants cycle for 7 days covering each stage at their own pace without relying on motorized transport. Vegetarian and vegan options. Partner accommodations and restaurants provide daily vegetarian meals and, in most cases, vegan alternatives. Meals are prepared using fresh, local, and seasonal products, promoting low-carbon food choices and supporting regional producers. Environmental policies of accommodations. We work with accommodations committed to responsible practices, aiming to minimize their environmental impact. Before partnering with them, we verify their measures to reduce water consumption (efficient installations, rainwater harvesting, careful maintenance of green spaces), waste management (recycling, elimination of single-use plastics, composting), and the use of renewable energy whenever possible. Raising traveler awareness of impact reduction. Each traveler receives a guide with best practices to minimize their environmental footprint. It highlights essential actions: staying on marked trails, keeping noise to a minimum, not picking plants or feeding animals, sorting waste, and favoring local products. The trip includes 7 local accommodations, all independent or family-run, such as guesthouses and small hotels managed by local operators. These choices ensure that the money spent by travelers directly benefits the communities visited, rather than large international chains. By prioritizing local businesses, we contribute to the economic vitality of rural and regional areas, supporting families and entrepreneurs who rely on tourism for their livelihoods. Almost all staff involved in organizing and accompanying this trip are native to the country. The majority of service providers, including accommodation owners, local guides, and luggage transporters, are members of the local community. This approach strengthens local economic resilience and ensures that tourism revenues remain within the region. All our operational partners, as well as ourselves, ensure that the legal minimum wage is respected for every employee. This guarantees fair, equitable, and ethical working conditions across all stages of the trip, aligning with our commitment to responsible tourism and sustainable development.
