This Prague to Dresden bike tour leads through the heart of Europe revealing unexpectedly delightful Czech and German landscapes. You explore picturesque towns, breathtaking natural parks, and the enchanting valleys along the Vltava and Elbe rivers. The tour starts in Prague, passes through Melnick and the Terezin Fortress, then into the magical and otherworldly landscape of Czech-Saxon Switzerland Natural Park, and concludes in Dresden. It offers a blend of history, culture, and natural beauty. The route follows mostly flat terrain with occasional hills, primarily on dedicated bike trails and marked bike lanes where on roads. It is recommended for families with children. The tour involves cycling along the Vltava and Elbe rivers. Day 5 includes options for hiking in Czech-Saxon Switzerland National Park, including a hike to the largest natural arch in Central Europe, Pravčická brána, or a gondola ride through the Kamenice River valley. Accommodations are available in premium (3- and 4-star hotels and inns) or standard (3-star hotels, inns or guest houses) categories.
