Overview

This bike tour through the Czech Republic and Poland begins in one ancient capital, Prague, and ends in another, Krakow, and offers a unique perspective on cycling in Europe. As you pedal through former Iron Curtain countries of the most eastern portion of central Europe, you will delight in what most Europeans have long known. This is an area coming into its own in regards to many things, cycling included. Entering Poland through the Těšínsko region, you bike this lake-filled land to admire the old town of Pszyna with its chateau and open-air museum. A visit to Oswieczim (Auschwitz) with its dreadful WWII history and nearby Nazi concentration camp is possible. From here, you continue through gentle landscapes along the Amber trail to the historical capital Krakow to admire its old town and the regal Wawel castle. Two options are offered in regards to tour length, a 13-day tour or a 10-day tour. The 10-day tour also has guided dates. This important route is framed with six UNESCO World Heritage Sites and dotted with numerous castles and hidden villages!
