A challenging eight day tour combining quality rides with spectacular Provencal scenery; self guided, too, so you can stop wherever you like. Tour starts and ends in Avignon Uzès Orange Mont Ventoux Bédoin Roussillon Fontvieille Arles Camargue Les Baux-de-Provence bike 90 to 100km per day carbon and aluminium road bikes available to rent. This Provence cycling tour was designed for a private group, but since they tried it and rated it highly, we have made it available to cycling clubs and individuals seeking a challenging and comprehensive cycle tour of Provence. This is now a much loved itinerary which has featured in cycling magazines and websites, including CyclingPlus. The combination of quality distances and Provence’s beautiful scenery make this a really satisfying and memorable journey. On this eight day holiday, you’ll start and finish in Avignon, taking in Uzès, Orange, Mont Ventoux, Bédoin, Roussillon, Arles and lots more besides. This tour is only suitable for fit cyclists, comfortable doing 90 to 100km per day (50 to 60 miles) and, because it’s a self-guided journey, you’re free to stop and explore whenever you like. On some days we have included two possible routes to the same destination, so you have a choice of distances, too. There is a choice of two standards of hotels on this tailor made tour. All breakfasts, two dinners, luggage transfers, directions and info are included.
