This is a self-guided 8-day cycling tour from Innsbruck to Lake Garda (Level 2). It covers imposing mountain ranges, spectacular panoramic views, and a culinary tour through the vineyards and orchards of South Tyrol. The tour is described as being in the Mediterranean and leaves nothing to be desired. The tour features an indulgent cycling holiday through orchards and vineyards along the South Tyrolean Wine Route, an Eldorado of South Tyrol, with selected wines and fruits to be tasted. It includes Trentino vineyards and landscapes, with a sightseeing tip for Trento's old town, the Cathedral, and the Buonconsiglio castle. A highlight is enjoying delicious pistachio ice cream by Lake Garda, Italy's largest lake, and experiencing 'la Dolce Vita'. The tour has a 'Level 2' character, meaning it's along beautifully maintained cycle paths through river valleys, with quiet roads through orchards and vineyards. A shuttle takes participants from the Inn Valley up to the Reschen Pass for an exhilarating descent, with a few short climbs for challenge. Included in the tour are accommodation in 3* and 4* hotels, breakfast, a welcome briefing, luggage transfer, digital travel documents with navigation app and GPS data, route book, one bus transfer from Landeck - Nauders including the bike, and one pistachio ice-cream or fruit juice on the way to Lake Garda. Bike rental options include Gravel bike (199 EUR) and Sporty bike (179 EUR). E-bike rental is available for 289 EUR. Arrival is by train to Innsbruck, with Munich or Innsbruck airports as options. Parking is available in a public hotel garage for approximately EUR 15 per day. A return transfer by minibus to Innsbruck is available every Saturday morning for EUR 115 per person (EUR 45 extra for own bike), requiring advance payment and reservation. Departure is by bus and train from Lake Garda to Innsbruck, taking approximately 4 hours with 2 changes. Departures are Wednesdays and Saturdays only. Extra nights can be booked in Innsbruck (from 99 EUR p.p. +69 EUR single) or Torbole/Riva (from 79 EUR p.p. +79 EUR single). The itinerary includes arrival in Innsbruck with a welcome briefing and bike fitting, cycling to Imst, a bus transfer and descent from Reschenpass, cycling to Merano, then to Ora, Trento, and finally to Riva/Torbole on Lake Garda. Travel insurance for Austria is offered, covering local language barriers, lost passports, and unexpected medical expenses.
