From the Bay of Kotor and Lake Skadar, to the ancient olive groves aligning the route from Ulcinj to Old Bar, Montenegro promises a succession of captivating sights with overnight stays in a choice of small hotels or traditional bed & breakfasts ensuring rest and relaxation are never in doubt. Luggage is transferred by car to be ready and waiting for you upon your arrival at each stopover with excellent trip notes helping you make the most of Montenegro from a locals' perspective, including recommendations for local restaurants and important things to look out for. Although the suggested route for this week of self guided cycling incorporates average distances of 40kms per day, including several steep climbs, it's also possible to tailor the tour to meet your expectations and fitness levels so you get to experience a holiday rather than an uphill slog.
