Portugal's Silver Coast, or Costa de Prata, is a stretch of spectacular coastline that runs north of Lisbon. You are offered two itineraries to choose from. One is a 7-day tour that runs south between the city of Porto and the "capital" of the central region, Coimbra. The other is a 9-day itinerary that begins where the other leaves off, in Figueira da Foz leading south to Cascais, a coastal jewel near Lisbon. You can combine the two if you would like for an epic vacation in Portugal. Renowned for its breathtaking beaches and its rugged coastline, the Silver Coast offers fairly easy and scenic cycling.
