Overview

The best of the Adige cycling route in five days! Start cycling in South Tyrol, a crossroads of peoples and cultures. As you follow the course of the Adige River southward, vineyards and perched castles give way to olive groves, typical of the Lake Garda area. Grand finale with arrival in Verona, one of the most beautiful and important cities of art in the Veneto region: if you are passionate about history (and love legends) you will not be disappointed. If you have less than a week to spare but don't want to miss out on the best of the Adige bike route, then this tour is for you. The route is mostly flat with a few short climbs and is on bike paths and low-traffic secondary roads. Attention should be paid to traffic when entering and leaving cities, especially coming into Verona. The longest stage (the first one) can be shortened by taking a train part of the way. 4-nights hotel accommodation in 3*/4* hotels 4 Breakfast Luggage transportation (1 piece, 20kg per person) App including travel guide + Maps + Roadbook Digital tour information 4-hour ferry cruise from Riva to Peschiera (bike included) Hotline service Local taxes (approx 10-15 EUR) Train fees (if shortening your cycle on any day) Tips Bike rental Drinks and other meals Helmet - 15 EUR Anything not mentioned in 'included' Extra night in Verona: From 85 EUR p.p (140 EUR single person) Extra nights in Bolzano: From 130 EUR p.p (210 EUR single person) Departures Sundays and Wednesdays - Special departure dates for at least 6 people All rooms have en suite facilities. We loved every minute of it. The riding was amazing with great views and lovely villages at every pedal stroke. The towns chosen for overnight stops were really different from each other but all beautiful and interesting in their own right. The trip on Lake Garda was a highlight and really added another dimension to the ride. Bike tracks and small back roads felt safe at all times and the maps and guide were very accurate, easy to read and informative. The bikes were amazingly smooth to ride. We had an e-bike and a regular bike and both were in great condition with no problems over the journey. Tony and Mandy, Victoria, Australia, June 2019
