Self-guided Cycling Tour along the river Mur, 7 days, Austria. The route is mostly downhill, making it ideal even for beginner cyclists. The tour takes you through green hills and forests, small charming Austrian towns and villages, and includes the lively state capital of Graz. You can enjoy the 'Buschenschanken' like the Styrians do, tasting regional delicacies such as cider and famous Brettljause with roast pork, cheese, pumpkin seed spread and black bread. The Austrian part of the Mur Cycle Path is 330 kilometers long and begins in St Michael in Lungau in Salzburg. On the seventh day of your cycling holiday you can watch the landscape change - from the mountainous Lungau to the lush green hills of Styria.
