Overview

Explore the southern Peloponnese on a guided e-bike tour through one of the quieter regions of Greece, from the stone tower villages of Mani to the medieval fortress town of Monemvasia. Away from the busy island crowds, the route follows rugged coastline and mountain roads through a landscape influenced by Byzantine history and centuries of maritime trade. Ride through olive groves and along empty coves, explore the underground lakes of Diros Caves, and pass through the stone-built village of Vatheia before reaching Monemvasia. The route also visits the UNESCO-listed ruins of Mystras near ancient Sparta. Days end with swims off the beaches of Elafonisos, seafood tavernas by the water, and evenings in small towns across Laconia. Accommodations throughout the tour are carefully selected 3-star hotels that combine comfort and local character. All hotels offer easy access to nearby restaurants, historic centers, beaches, or harborfront areas. The tour begins and ends in Athens. The closest airport is Athens International Airport (ATH), the main international airport for Greece. The southern Peloponnese has a long cycling season with warm, dry weather from spring through autumn. Daytime temperatures during the main riding months typically range from 65–80°F (18–27°C), with cooler evenings along the coast. Summer temperatures are higher, particularly in the Mani Peninsula, though sea breezes help along much of the route. Sea temperatures are generally warm enough for swimming from May through October, especially around Elafonisos and the southern coast. A support vehicle transfers luggage between accommodations and is available during riding days for mechanical support or riders who prefer a break from the route. Tour group size is limited to 15 participants to ensure a safe, well-supported, and more personalized riding experience.
