Visit the capital city of Montevideo to explore its old city, bustling markets, and iconic La Rambla avenue that runs alongside the Atlantic. Meet a renowned Afro-Uruguayan percussionist and drum luthier from the Uruguayan Candombe music scene. Picnic amidst the outdoor artworks at Fundación Pablo Atchugarry Sculpture Park. Bike to a private cooking class in the protected natural reserve of Laguna Garzón. Eat: Asado (grilled meat), olive oil, chivito sandwiches, pasta, and flan with dulce de leche. Drink: Mate and Tannat, a local red varietal made from the national grape. The tour begins with a ferry transfer from Buenos Aires to Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay. Includes a local guide through the historic quarter, a bike fitting and safety briefing, and a ride through Anchorena Park. Day 2: Ride through Carmelo to Playa Sere, visit El Legado winery for a tasting, and continue to Bodega Cordano for an asado lunch. Includes a private cruise on the Río de la Plata at sunset.
