This athletic bike tour takes you on a journey through history along the Via Claudia Augusta, one of the most remarkable Alpine crossings. You will get to see the former Roman territory at its best. The highlights along the route are hard to beat. You will cycle from Augsburg through the flat Lechfeld towards the mighty Alps, over impressive passes through Tyrol and finally along the course of the Adige to Bolzano or via the beautiful lake Garda to Verona you decide the final destination! The route is mostly on paved bike and agricultural roads, as well as side streets and through-roads with little traffic. Some sections are on gravel. Transfer over the Fern Pass (Biberwier - Fernsteinsee) Ascent of approx. 700 meters of altitude between Pfunds and the Reschen Pass, from the Reschensee to Meran there are some longer downhill sections. The tour requires participants to be vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19. There is a flexible rebooking option available.
