Overview

The Danube cycling path continues east of Vienna into the fascinating landscape of the Pannonian Lowlands. The "Donauauen" National Park is one of the last primeval forests in Europe. The Slovakian capital Bratislava enchants guests with a lovely restored old city centre and numerous intriguing sights. This is a Level 1 tour with paved and mostly flat paths. Upon entering and leaving cities, there is traffic that must be closely observed. Included in the tour are 1 night in 4* hotel accommodation, daily luggage transport, 1 x train ride Haslau - Wolfsthal, return transfer by public bus from Bratislava to Vienna, and a 7-day service-hotline. A handlebar bag with maps and information material is provided per room. The tour is not suitable for people with limited mobility. Individual requests for handicapped accessible rooms are possible in special cases. Departure is on Sundays and Mondays only. Day 1 involves departing from the city and cycling into nature through the "Donauauen" National Park. A passage with a small ferry is an adventure. After a short break on a train ride, you cycle to Bratislava, where a majestic castle greets you. The restored old part of the city and its cafés await your visit. Day 2 includes a bus from Bratislava to Vienna, which runs on a schedule with stops at the airport Schwechat. The duration is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
