This guided cycle tour follows Vietnam’s south-central coast from the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City to the historic city of Hue. From the Central Highlands to the coast, French-built hill towns, ancient Cham temples, and sites still marked by the Vietnam War tell an incredible story. In Da Lat, French colonial villas stand beside Buddhist temples. On the coast, the Po Nagar Cham Towers preserve a piece of Vietnam’s Hindu history. In Quang Ngai, the My Lai Memorial stands as a solemn reminder of the war. Further north, Hoi An and Hue, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites, keep imperial architecture and old trading traditions alive. You will ride through pine hills, mountain passes, and quiet coastal roads lined with rice paddies and shrimp farms. At this pace, daily life opens up with incense at shrines, tea harvests, and children waving from village roads, creating moments that stay with you long after the ride ends. This guided cycle tour covers 375 miles over 9 days, with daily distances averaging 37–50 miles and climbs ranging from 1,600 to 2,300 feet. The route follows mainly quiet countryside roads, paved with concrete or asphalt, with only about 3% on light dirt tracks. Highways are avoided for a safer, more scenic ride. The e-bike makes it easy to handle daily distances and gentle climbs, giving you steady support when needed. The closest major airport to the tour's start is Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) in Ho Chi Minh City. The tour ends near Phu Bai International Airport (HUI) in Hue. The route’s climate ranges from warm and humid lowlands to cooler highland sections. Ho Chi Minh City and the coast are typically hot and humid year-round, averaging 77–90°F (25–32°C). The Central Highlands around Da Lat are cooler, with daytime highs of 68–77°F (20–25°C). Rain is more common from September to December, while January to August is drier and sunnier.
