Cycle through the world-renowned vineyards of Burgundy, from Mâcon in the south to Beaune in the north. The holiday includes an included visit to the historic Patriarche Cellars for a tasting session and answers to questions about Grand and Premier Cru labels and terroir. The routes lead past architectural gems, from frescoed churches and majestic abbeys to Renaissance châteaux and fortified mansions. The scenery includes timeless views stretching towards the mountains of the Jura. The region offers an excellent network of cycle trails along disused railway lines and canal towpaths. The holiday features four high-quality hotels of great character, with the option of upgrading the final hotel. Hotels include Hotel d’Europe et d’Angleterre in Macon, Hotel de Bourgogne or Le Potin Gourmand in Cluny, Hotel Le Dracy in Dracy-Le-Fort, and Hotel de la Poste or an upgrade to Hotel le Cep in Beaune. Prices are from £1,578pp for 6 nights (14 April 2026 - 30 September 2026). Electric bikes are available for an additional cost. Flight and rail travel options from the UK are available, as well as connecting travel arrangements. Recommended airport is Lyon. Connecting travel via Paris CDG or Lyon is detailed, including prices and timings. The provided bike is a hybrid bike with 27 gears, including a waterproof map case, pannier/saddlebag, pump, puncture repair kit, and a lock. Electric bikes are available as an upgrade. Helmets can be hired locally. GPX tracks are provided for smartphone or GPS device navigation, along with route notes. Luggage is transferred between hotels. Customers are responsible for locking the bikes securely. Inntravel can book flights from the UK, offering convenience and ATOL protection for travel arrangements. For customers outside the UK, Inntravel can arrange onward travel from London or from a European airport. Travel insurance is mandatory.
