The first ride is a challenge for those who like to test their capabilities, following the steps of pro cyclists who train in Girona. Subsequent rides are easier but interesting, leading to the coast with spectacular roads and little coves on the Costa Brava. The last loops are in an agricultural area with charming medieval towns. It's ideal for those who love variety, combining mountains, coast, agricultural fields, and medieval settlements with excellent food and unique moments. This tour offers, in only 4 days, a great view of some of the best routes of the area of Girona. The first ride allows you to follow the steps of some of the pro cyclists that live and train in Girona, a great challenge for those who like to test their capabilities. The following rides are much easier but not less interesting. The route to the coast will lead you to one of most spectacular roads, that allows you to discover some of the pearls of the rough Costa Brava, with little coves and unspoilt settlements. More to the North, the last loop rides will take cyclists to an agricultural area, with plenty of medieval charming towns, worth visiting. Ideal for those who love variety and like to combine different landscapes in few days: mountains, coast, agricultural fields and medieval settlements. All of this, combined with excellent Mediterranean food, and great moments in unique places. Arrival day in Girona includes exploration of the city, its Jewish Quarter, Cathedral, and medieval walls. Assistance for transfers and extra nights can be arranged. Stage 1: Loop ride Girona (103 km | 1,440 m elevation gain) climbs to Sant Hilari Sacalm through the Llémena Valley. Alternative routes include Canet d’Adri & Llémana Valley (66 km | 925 m elevation gain) and Llémana Valley to Les Planes d’Hostoles (75 km | 970 m elevation gain). Stage 2: Girona - Calella de Palafrugell route heads south through a flat area to Llagostera, then climbs. Stage 3: Loop ride to L’Escala and medieval villages explores the inland Empordà region, visiting L’Escala (famed for anchovies) and the archaeological site of Empúries (Greek and Roman ruins). It winds back through picturesque villages. Stage 4: Calella de Palafurgell – Girona ride goes north through Palafrugell, east to La Bisbal de l’Empordà (known for pottery and a medieval castle), and concludes with the ascent to the Sanctuary of Els Àngels for panoramic views before a descent back to Girona. Departure day after breakfast.
