You have plenty to see and discover for a perfect active weekend. Stage 1: Vall de Llémena. Distance: 31 km | Elevation Gain: 220 m. You will leave the city centre and follow the Vias Verdes (greenways) Girona – Olot. You will be riding alongside the river Ter passing by Bescanó. Halfway the route you will cross the river and ride back to the city on the other side over small and traffic free roads following the river again. Once back in the city, take the time to explore its many attractions. Visit the stunning Cathedral of Girona, which boasts the widest single nave in Gothic architecture. Wander through the labyrinthine streets of the ancient Jewish Quarter—one of the best-preserved in the world—and soak in its rich history. Don’t miss a leisurely stroll along the Rambla or the medieval city walls, which offer spectacular panoramic views of Girona and its surroundings. Stage 2: Girona’s southern countryside. You’ll leave the city heading south along the Vies Verdes (Greenway) known as El Carrilet. The route takes you through the villages of Quart—where you can visit the Ceramic Museum, located in a former ceramic factory right next to the Greenway—and Llambilles, before veering off onto quiet countryside roads that lead you back toward Girona. For the final stretch into the city, you’ll rejoin the Greenway for a smooth and safe ride on dedicated cycle paths, separated from other traffic. Unique Season: Every day from 02/02 to 30/11.
