Cycle along the Costa Brava and enjoy magnificent Mediterranean sea views. Breakaway in the fascinating area of l’Empordà, with its beautiful rural landscape, and visit the Casa-castell Gala Dalí Museum. Great diversity of scenery spots: forests, rice fields, fruit trees, and rough coast. Get transported to another time, visiting ancient medieval villages. The bike tour starts in Girona, the province capital with its charming old town, famous for its spectacular Jewish Quarter. From Girona, the itinerary takes you to the Costa Brava, along the greenway “El Carrilet”, the ancient railway line. Next laps will keep you following one of the most beautiful parts of the coast, combining long sandy beaches with small rough coves and charming ancient fishing villages. Not to miss are the medieval villages along your way. Returning to Girona, you ride until Flaçà, surrounded by wooden and agricultural areas. There you can take the train, on a 15 minutes short ride to Girona or decide to pedal on all the way. This route is ideal for those who like to combine cultural visits in an interesting city and relax near the beach, as well as tasting some of the best traditional dishes of the well-known Mediterranean diet. Visit the Fishing Museum of Palamós, with a very interesting exhibition about this important economic activity in this area. Eat the anchovies of l’Escala: you’ll find them in any of the restaurants of the zone: delicious! The tour starts in Girona and ends in Girona. It includes 5 nights accommodation in double room in B&B, luggage transfer from hotel to hotel, and hotline assistance during the trip from 8 am to 8 pm.
